The Monte Porzio Catone Wine Museum is a cultural institution that goes beyond the traditional concept of a museum as a mere place of conservation. Its main mission is to create a vibrant and ongoing dialogue between cultural heritage and the local community, fostering a deep reflection on rural life and both the tangible and intangible culture of the region.Located in a fascinating setting—a disused tunnel of the old railway network—the museum offers an immersive experience designed as a virtual journey through the vineyards. The exhibited objects are not merely artifacts; they are presented as tangible testimonies of ideas, craftsmanship, knowledge, and emotions that narrate the history and culture of the region.

Taste

The Wine Bar/Cafeteria/Infopoint is the beating heart of our museum, where the history of wine turns into a living experience. Our TASTE space is more than just a wine bar: it is a place where the story of wine comes to life in the glass, where every sip is a page of the region’s history. Here, you can embark on a journey through the local wines with tastings and aperitifs hosted at the museum. Wine is much more than a beverage—it is the liquid expression of a territory, the result of a millennia-old dialogue between soil, climate, and human expertise. Every bottle we select tells a unique story, deeply rooted in the land that produced it.Take a seat and let our expert staff guide you through the authentic flavors of this region.

In the Station Master's House, we have a dedicated space for educational activities, workshops, presentations, guided tastings, and courses. The museum is set within the unique landscape of the Castelli Romani, dominated by the majestic Latium Volcano. This distinctive geological formation, with its varied exposures and altitudes, gives the wines of this area unique characteristics, creating a mosaic of distinct organoleptic profiles. These nuances can often be explored further during our activities.
